This is a small Prussian shaped Irish decanter, it is cut all over with arch shaped fields of hobnails to the body and two sets of cut faux rings to the neck. It has a solid faceted mushroom stopper. Made circa, 1820-1840.

This is probably Waterford as they were the most prolific exponent of this kind of cutting in Irish glass and they were the Georgian era glass manufacturer that kept the tradition going the longest.

This is very typically Irish period glass as it went into the final phase with heavy glass cutting. Just to give me another hint about its origin, I bought it from Ireland.

I have also added a picture of some decanters illustrated in the book Irish Glass by Phelps Warren. You can see the decanter on the left has very similar arched panels of hobnails and the one in the middle has a similar double band of step cutting on the neck. What you find with Irish cut glass of this period is lots of typical features reused in lots of combinations. As your collection grows you can see a kind of Frankenstein monster style patchwork of features matching between decanters.
