This recent find is a large Victorian-era Loetz vase in orange opal glass, enameled and gilt. The form is identical to PN II-1907, except that it is larger (9" X 7.5") and earlier. Marked in gold ink on the bottom "IV/202". This DEK is similar to other examples of DEK IV/202, except that the florals and scrolls are slightly different. For comparison - see the DEK IV/202 page on Loetz.com here:

Another great find ... Seems I am learning more about earlier Loetz through You and the good folks at Loetz .com
That silky smooth finish and color are striking! Well bought!
Great early Loetz piece. Now I know who I was bidding against, you should've told me Warren :)
Thanks, Brian - sorry, I almost never use LiveAuctioneers... but I thought I spied a mark on the bottom - it was between this one and another orange opal on eBay - that one went for a bit more, I think.
That would make it pretty good buying !
Interest you in IX/202 ... picture is suggestive but not conclusive ...
Sorry ... missed the "?"
Haven't seen those z shaped 2's before either ...
This one has an unambiguous IV
