Nice looking chest. Looks very similar to mine. A fellow collector that I follow is the "go to guy" on anything down "Trunk alley" His user name is senor-trunk. Drop him a line. I'm fairly certain he would be more than happy to help and while many on this site may know chests and trunks, I've not met one more knowledgeable than he. Good luck, and again very nice old chest.

i am certainly no expert, trunker marvin is definitely the guy for any real information. however, if i could get a closer up picture of the front, side, back and inside, i could give you some idea. is there anything that looks like it covered the wood, canvas, tin, embossed tin, or is it all wood outside. any labels, anything written on or in the trunk. Is there anything engraved lock, like eagle lock and a number?
appears to be a flat top, from the early 1900's but hard to tell just from the front

hope you got your answer. I really don't know alot about trunks. Just picked up the hobby when I got laid off about a year ago. Everything I've learned has been through books, or papers written by Marvin and a couple other guys. There are 3 or 4 guys and Gals out there that have been in the trunk business for 30 years or more. They are really the people you need to ask if you want to know about your trunk. No matter what my friend Bahhama Boy says.
