Ive received this lamp from my late uncles estate. He was a tug boat captain his whole life and had lots of nautical collectibles. This lamp is one that is still a mystery as to how old it may be, where it would have come from ETC.
Cant find any like it with same makers mark on Internet search.
It is all brass with great petina. Stands approx 20" high, 12" wide and weighs approx 15lbs.
Has a rear door to remove oil lamp and the top cover opens.
Makers mark of J. Cambell / Port Glasgow
Any help would be greatly appreciated
While I was researching this for you I came across an entry in an archived Watt Library index that said this:
ACACIA 1879 William Hamilton & Co., Port Glasgow screw steamer ‘Acacia’ for J. Shaw Campbell, Dublin - details.

Judging from the document I was looking at, there is archived information in those two newspapers in 1879 about a tug steam ship named the ACACIA in Port Glasgow and J. (Shaw) Campbell had something to do with it.
Very interesting if nothing else. :)
