I picked up this bottle recently because, to me, it was unusual. The bottle itself is 10" tall. I've never seen a cap like this either. It has no label on it and I have no clue what the "logo" is on the cap itself. If anyone can identify it, please let me know. Thanks so much for any help.
You sure don't give many details or decent pix. Kind of looks like a Grosch beer bottle with a "lightning" cap. I can't remember the early names for the cap, but "lightning" should get you there on search. These caps are still used on a few bottles, so age is hard to find without any details. If the letters are in relief, you should be able to read them & give something for us to work with. Without that, it's just a bottle!
Hi Blunderbuss2, that's just it...the bottle itself is plain. There are no markings, labels, raised letters or anything on it to give a clue as to what it is. It looks like a beer bottle and there is a bottle that uses that kind of cap. Research shows that the cap is a Grolsch Style (flipper) Amber Swing Top Bottle. There is no information as to the logo that is on the "flipper" cap on this bottle, however. I don't know how I could give better pictures than the ones I already have posted.
I have added a third photo showing the bottle laying on its side focusing on the top of the cap with the logo on it. The 2nd pic was a "zoomed in" version of the third. Hope that helps.
What colour is the bottle? No relief lettering or numbers on the bottom?
No, nothing on the bottom. The color is a deep amber....
Sounds like you will have to rely on luck. Bon chance!
