This car clock was manufactured by the Majestic Watch Co. in Switzerland.
The movement is 15 Jewels and is a 19 lignes size (42.86 mm; 1.68") pocket watch movement.
The case, also marked Majestic Watch Co. Switzerland, is a large
81.39 mm; 3.20 inches across and 18.57 mm; 0.73 inches thick.
The 65.83 mm; 2.59 inch, private label, advertising dial, is marked:
    Shreve & Co. San Francisco.
Shreve & Company, of San Francisco, California, has been a jewelry institution since 1852.
Their current location at 117 Post St. is a 12 story steel structure building that was finished in March of 1906, just before the Great Earthquake of April 18, 1906. It was one of the few buildings that survived the quake destruction and fires that destroyed much of the city.
In April of this year they lost their bid to renew their lease and by mid 2016, will have to move out of the building they have occupied for 109 years. They have not said what their new location in San Francisco will be.
They have two other locations, one in Palo Alto, California, south of San Francisco, home of Stanford University, and one in Portland, Oregon.
A shame they have to relocate, but at least the building is being saved and not torn down.

    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

      PW-

I just joined this awesome site yesterday. I have to ask your advice, dude to dude, is it proper etiquette to thank every "love"?
    13. pw-collector pw-collector, 7 years ago
It is totally up to you. No rules that I know of pertaining to "thank you's".
