This is actually an early print -Kodak processing. Measuring approximately 2x3 in it's image size. Printed on Kodak paper with a gloss surface and deckle edge. This is actually a family photo taken in 1946 by a local news photographer. It made it in to the local paper due to my in-laws over the top use of tinsel. As you can see --they didn't skimp! My mother in law estimated the cost of the tinsel to match the cost of the tree..lol.
The second photo is my husbands grandmother when she was 18. It is an arcade souvenir on a paper moon from Lake Forest Amusement Park in the Chicago area. I don't have a specific date on it--only word of mouth info from my mother in law.
I have the original stored in an acid free envelope tucked into a archival storage box. I love the old arcade works--- This was enough inspiration to get me started on a path of my own as a paper moon photographer.--Maybe in doing so, I will create a collectible for someone else to gather in the future. Any time I am near an antique store, I head right for the baskets and bowls containing the vintage card photos of people having fun or formal portraits. It's fun to look back on the days before cell phones and selfies.
