We have no idea what this table is called. Would love some help on it! We've had it for over 20 years, but don't know if it is an antique. Thanks!

Not antique-- it dates from the late 20th century.

Looks to be solid wood so a nice and useful piece.

The table was made to rest against a wall with the flat surface.

This is properly called a half moon or a half round table. While it is a newer table it was well made and should be quite sturdy. Using the names I listed above will help you do more research.

I think it is styled after an antique "game table".

To save space the top would be cut in two and hinged to lay flat only showing half the top when stored. When needed the full table top could be folded out and a bottom gate leg (or arm) would swivel out to support the full sized top.

The groove along the edge of your table also gives the illusion of a folding game table.

I have one of those cat things myself. If the screws underneath are flatheads it is probably vintage. Not big on the 100 year old rule for antiques myself. Pretty much anything made before 1960 seems to be an antique. Like me.
