This came from a local thrift shop today for $2.50. There was an old silver/gold oval shaped label on it, but there was so little left of it that it was no longer readable. I also acquired a larger one, every bit as gorgeous as this one!

Hi,efesgirl,I think it's Nason Murano glass.
Great looking vase. Check out a British company called Premier Housewares, they have a full line of this type vase.
Yes, it's Murano, Bonnie, and actually one of the CW peeps has posted some examples of this same glass on their page, I think Alan if I'm not mistaken. :)
Here's the thread from Alan:

beautiful!!!!
Gee, thanks to everybody who chipped in with comments & information!!! Ivonne, you are right on the money. Same vase. Most of the Murano glass I see around here is gaudy, so I didn't recognize this as being Murano.
Beautiful vase Efes! By now you know it's Murano, so the only thing I can add is that this is often referred to as a black with copper aventurine vase.
Hi Rick55 - thanks for the info. I really love this vase, but my eyes are bigger than my house... :)
Just found this Efes... http://www.20thcenturyglass.com/glass_encyclopedia/murano_glass/vnason_glass/vnasonglass_home.htm
Rick55 - I forgot all about that site! Thanks so much.
Thanks for the tons of love, everyone!
