The DL makers mark is a later one than the plain stamp. The date letter is for London 1932, although this letter is difficult to tell apart from its 1912 counterpart.
If plain, unadorned glass looked ultra modern in 1910, this must have had the same effect in the 1930s. An unusual vase, I think.
It is 20.5cm tall, in keeping with some of my other rubina-verde vases of a similar ribbed style.
beautiful!!!
As I look at it more, it could be 1912, which would be astounding.
wonderful color combinatio
I love the color and ribbing Ian! Beauty!!!
Ian, I took a look at the date stamps for 1932 and 1912, and I think you are right - it IS 1912! Which for such a truly modern looking vase, is really surprising. It must have been so incredibly different from what people had typically been used to seeing at the time. A lovely vase!
