canningjar
(3 items)
I have a half gallon teal fruit canning jar. It has off set seams at the neck of 5/16" apart, and irregular rings which vary from 1/16" - 2/16". Bottom off set seam is only a hairs width, but is there. Ball(l) logo ONLY on front, NOTHING else is written on jar. The 3rd l looks like the other 2 l's in cursive approx. same width and height apart. (The 2 irregular rings are kind of ragged looking, like cracked glass but it isn't). Part of a jar that contains the closure, usually the upper part of the jar from the fact that applying the neck area was how a hand blown jar was finished. 3 indented irregular rings on bottom and 4th with a real small scar looking circle with swirls around it, and a very fine line on the 2nd and 3rd rings that looks like over drip. Rough, but smooth edges on lip and bottom. 1 off set side seam has 2 small - (looks like small minus sign, that you can feel). Lots of bubbles that you can feel on the inside of jar. No chips or cracks!! Zinc lid, with milk glass inside lid. I would gladly give more information to help identify this was made. If anyone has info. and/or value for this jar, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Connie
Love the color on that jar! I have used this website:

This is commonly known as the Ball 3L jar because of the loop at the end of the underscore. Made approx. 1896-1910.
