This is a lovely Kralik Snakeskin? Or a hybrid of a Rindskof shape? This piece that is a nice cabinet size is a little over 6" tall. It's beautifully cased and the decor is even lovelier in real. I believe this is a nice example. Thanks for looking
Very nice, Lee - great photos! :)
Michelle, many thanks
...I have these listed under the 'snakeskin' decor in my files...
Kralik snakeskin; not Rindskopf striated
Thanks Warren. Fixed it
Warren, based on shape, or the actual decor and color? Thanks! :)
Based on the texture
...I have a Rindskopf pale green snakeskin, and it appears to be slightly smoother than this one - is that the texture difference?
Alfredo, I love both pieces. Thanks for the comment !!
I appreciate and respect other people's opinions on this vase, but I just wanted to say that personally, I still believe it is by Rindskopf. I saw the original seller's picture, which was a bit less highly colored, and it also showed the glass texture a little differently. It was very interesting to compare Rindskopf 'snakeskin' directly against Kralik 'snakeskin' vases while comparing images side by side the other night. Based on Lee's and the seller's photos, the 6" size (often seen in the smaller Rindskopf vases), the color, the type of opalescent glass used, and the finish, I personally think it is much closer to Rindskopf's 'snakeskin' decor (of which I own examples) than to Kralik's 'snakeskin' decor.
