I found this beautiful piece of work at a local thrift store, my best find ever! I believe it to be a temple rubbing made with rice paper, lacquer and gold leaf type paint. It was framed professionally by Dukin Art Galleries in Illinois by the sticker on the back. The art gallery is no longer around and has not been for sometime.
It is about 20 x 19, inside of frame. The detail is amazing, 3D, and you can see the texture, the shape of the bodies under the dress, I can look at it for hours and see new details, it is light in weight, so there is not wood or plaster in the back to make the 3D texture effect has to be rice paper mold of temple carving.
