I got this along with other old tools. I'm going to use to hang around garage. I was just wondering is it a farm tool or a lawn and garden tool?

Yup, drill powered hedge trimmer. Craftsman sold lots of them as well as others. None of them worked well.
I was going to guess, a Newfie chainsaw!
