Looking for any info on this chair. My Grandmather bought it at a garage sale in the 50's.

Hi. Here are some keywords you might try searching. Firstly, "Greenman" which is a sculpture, carving, drawing, etc of a face surrounded by leaves, sprouts, flowers, branches, etc. Also try "Black Forest carving". Best of luck!

I don't recall seeing greenman with fangs. You might add gargoyle carved crest board to your research. You will see this face called North Wind and Old Man of the North but it is neither.

Yes we were just talking about the fact that there are fangs. Thanks for the info.

This photo appears to be one close to one I have been searching for. If it has bent arms and is small, it is a grandmothers rocker from a Sear catalog in the early 1900's arrpox 1909. I am loogn for one for my daughter. The presses back is the North Wind
