This lamp was given to my late brother by a friend. It as in an old fireplace for years & was black & covered in ash. It original had a flex cord but this was replaced by my brother. This lamp is now in working order. He was told that this lamp was dangerous as they had a habit of blowing up, they were called back by the manufacturer & others were destroyed. Rumour has it that one blew up in a guys face. apartly the fluid contains meths. I need some help to clarify this as can't find any on the internet. I was told that this is an extremely rare lamp. Can anyone help? I want to sell it but need to know what it's worth. I might add that this lamp is working perfectly but I only put it on for an hour! Can anyone help?
