Can anywone help me please.
I posted this brooch here several months ago. It's by one of the top Costume makes but I've forgotten whom...Coro, Coventry, one of them...
The glass is green and white paste and no glass missing. It has a C Clasp.
Unfortunately I loaned it to a friend several months ago and she lost it at a wedding she atteneded here in Australia.... I'm devastated.... and I need your help. If you have the same style, please let me know. If you know where I can get one the same...however, please don't send me photos os similar ones. I really want to get the same one... Thank you...
Anne
OH NO -- Shame your friend lost it!! Sure she lost it?? ------- OR fell in Love with it?? Just a question to ponder......???
Man, bummer either way!!
she lost it, I don't need to ponder thanks. She feels pretty bad about it and has seen your comment and isn't overly impressed...
Hi Anne I'm sure antiquerose was being tongue in cheek.. No offense meant
Unfortunately Marty neither my friend nor I are able to retain any sense of humour at the moment. My post was one of desperately seeking help, not a comedy routine at ppls feelings at stake...
As antiquerose doesnt have to deal with the dynamics here, she is able to remove herself very easily as most anonymous ppl on the internet do. I'm just personally getting more and more frustrated with ppl in how they so easily obligate themselves from responsibility. Starting off with other people making their apologies on their behalf.
A regular participant who could have easily returned to see my reply and realise how upset we both are with this. The brooch had sentiment worth way and above its $$ value.
And thank you Marty, you are a gentleman
This may be an exercise in futility without positively knowing the name of the company that manufactured this brooch. Another company which manufactures costume jewelry is Corocraft. I did a photo search using Coro and Sara Coventry and came up empty. I did a photo search with just a description and also came up empty. Maybe this website will offer up some help:

Or, here:

It is indeed a helpful site Efesgirl, if I had thought about it I would have checked the back before I lent the brooch so that if she lost it I could have known at least the maker. It's funny as I collect other items like glass and porcelain and I photograph all of that but broochs because the writing is so small I rarely do it
I did NOT mean anything negative -- opposite -- It is Beautiful, and ANYONE would love it.
Guess moral of story - Do not lend out our treasures. I understand your hurt!!
give up already, morals, comments...jeez, when isaid my friend was watching.....
Posted to try and get help with replacement

( Sorry, and just delete the other comments above )
...also I am trying to help you here to find another.
~ I am searching with *other* descriptive words than just *Star * as I kinda think it looks like the shape could also be a:
" Flower /// a Sun /// a Snowflake /// Double Star "
beautiful
