I have been looking for similar lamps resembling this one and still haven't been able to find anything like it. I would appreciate any thoughts you might have in regards to what type of lamp, age, where to look to see other similar lamps...Thank you

Hello, the parts of the shade containing the dried flowers, are they glass or parchment?

The parts containing the dried flowers and butterflies are made of Glass.

NICE! I've seen parchment ones from the 1970s and 80s, but haven't seen a glass one before. So pretty though.

I inherited a lamp shade like that. My plants and butterflies are pressed between two sheets of Mica. It was popular back in the forties. Google, mica lamp shade, it will show you a video of the shades being made, minus the pressed plants and butterflies. My sister-in law rented a house that had sliding doors, with pressed plants, made like that, dividing her dining room from the living room.

Thanks for your thoughts so far. I did look a little closer at the shade and the butterflies and plants are between two pieces of glass, although I cant tell if its "mica" or glue thats holding the plants and butterflies. Still, I havent seen another lamp resembling this lamp anywhere on the net thus far. Please keep those thoughts coming. Someone somewhere is bound to know more....Thanks CHRIS
