My Dad was in the Persian Gulf Service Command during WW2. He was a MP on the Iran, Russian border protecting the supply trucks passing through. He sent this back home and it's been packed away since. It had been pinned up when he got it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you Toyman.
Thanks much AR8Jason,,just got off the phone with my 86 year old Mom and she said that my Dad sent these to my Grandmother during the war.
I have some interesting photos, plus money, boar tusk, prayer beads, and other things too.
GREAT Poster-- when the Persians were our friends!
Thanks scottves and vintagemad. I hope someone can translate this as it might answer some questions. Again thanks AR8Jason.
Thanks officialfuel
I am glad you like these as they have been hidden away all these years. I hope they have some historical value.
Since it is Persian (from Iran), I would assume that it is Farsi and not Arabic.
From my time in the Middle East the characters look just like Arabic, but I doubt that an Arabic speaker can translate. I still have several friends in the region and will check with them and see if they can translate it.
