Hi. Family stories teel, that this mantel clock was brought by my grandfather from the USA perhaps in 1930´s. Could anyone help me to identify te clock and tell the manufacturing year, please?
Sorry about my language, I am not a native English speaker.
This is one of Seth Thomas' unlisted Adamantine Black Mantel Clocks. I believe that it was manufactured earlier than you suspect. My guess would be circa 1910 give or take five years, but that's just a guess for what it is worth. Perhaps your Grandfather still acquired it in the 30's?
I owned one very similar to yours. They clean up well, keep pretty good time for an antique mechanical clock and usually sound great striking the hour/half-hour
Here's a pic:

Hope that helps.
Sorry I couldn't be more definitive.
Thanks for sharing your heirloom.
Thank You Bruce99. You helped me very much.
I knew, that my grandfather had bought a second hand clock, but did´nt know the age. In Your picture I first time can see an almost similar clock as mine. Only the decoration in the lower part is a bit different.
I just had this clock at clocksmith and it keeps time very well and as You said, sound is great.
