United Delco illuminated sign 1950s. Before Delco Remmy. 24" x 72". Reads "Simply Say Delco; United Delco." Owner never installed. It was placed in storage trailer and forgotten about, in Willoughby, Ohio. That's about all that's known, can't find any other signs quite like it.

    Unsolved Mystery

United Motors was founded by William Durant of GM in 1916. The logo, colors, & name was changed to United Delco in 1961. Name & logo was changed again in 1974 to AC-Delco. This sign was made in between’61 & ‘74. Delco-Remy was a division of GM that made O.E.M. parts. United Motors, United Delco, & AC-Delco sold O.E.M. parts & provided service repairs. Delco & Remy Electrics founding pre-dated United Motors/United Delco/AC-Delcos founding.
