We have been refurbishing this guitar for around 5 months. We have been told a while back it looks like a Harmony Sovereign Jumbo as played by Townsend & Rory Gallagher. On checking we noted the Headstock is different from the ones they have used. The back of the guitar is bowed out to help with the sound projection similar to an Ovation. It has an 18" Bout and 19 Frets. The tuners are 6x6 and replacements as the others were singles, doubles and triples mixed. Could do with some expertise in the identification if possible, There were no markings as the previous had tried a re-strip with a blowtorch hence some of the damage you may notice. Many Thanks in advance. Rob Docherty-Gilroy Isle of Lewis
Hi Rob:
The people who work at this shop can be pretty helpful:

Thanks Ben will give them try
Hi Ben, gave them a try but no luck as yet, thanks for the tip anyway. Regards Rob
The body is definitely a Harmony Sovereign. I have a six string version and the top in your picture is identical to mine in every way. Mine does not bow out in the back. The sides and the neck look the same except for the headstock. Mine is a 68. It wouldn't surprise me if they used the same body as the 6 string.
