Standing 6" tall this DEK is characterized by the use of etching inks that create a negative pattern resulting in the "spreading chestnut" decoration.
The glass fades from a pinkish brown at the rim to almost clear at the base with a slight green cast.
The shape has a "tortured" feature that highlights the glass as it was in its "plastic" forming stage. Hence the folds/creases that were allowed to remain after cooling.
Special thanks to a friend that helped me locate this work of art.
