I found this in an elevator machine room about 1 year ago. I don't think it has anything to do with an elevator. Does anyone know what use this served.

Possibly a shop awning pull down device.

I'm pretty certain this is a vintage weed puller.

This is a weed puller. You stab it down into the ground over the weed, with the root between the prongs, then pull the handle sideways against the arm. This causes the prongs to grip the root tightly, then levers the weed out of the ground.
