1940s (?) Gouda Porcelain Covered Trinket Dish Valkenburg (Limburg, Netherlands)

A thrift shop find today for $1.30. A nice, substantial piece of pottery.

I normally don't buy souvenir items unless it is something special. Love the fact that there's a "Valk" (Falcon) on it. The first black falcon I've ever seen outside of Australia, lol~! I've lived here for 25 years and have never seen a dish like this one. Valkenburg is a 20 minute drive. This trinket dish doesn't have any damage aside from some crazing. Can't find out anything about the name on the bottom yet, so may have to email the Gouda factory.
