I've looked up dozens of sites on the internet and my reference books on Royal Worcester marks but I am still unable to track this particular mark. First of all, it is in Green, secondly, it has a #101 under the mark and the series of 8 dots which contains an asterisk has a letter in between which is unclear. I suspect 1950's but I need help on this, especially since the mark is in green which is not indicated in any literature as a colour used by Royal Worcester. The Quality of the Nautilus Shell Vases suggest that RW made them. Thanks everyone, RER(BOB)
Have you tried http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com or http://www.marksandlibrary.com?
Thanks robin56! I did and couldn't find anything like this mark. Thank you aghcollect, vetraio50 and mikelv85 for the loves. RER(BOB)
I think they are likely to be a lot earlier than 1950 , they seem to have 5 dots to the left and 4 dots to the right which dates them 1900 .
Thank you alison64! Why is there a 101 on them and was green a colour used by RW in their marks? Bob
Bob the 101 is the pattern number and they used the green colour mark during the Boer War years apparently.
Thank you alison64! Glad to know about the green mark and pattern# info. Bob
They are very beautiful Bob .
