A beautiful pair of Bohemian enamelled glasses decorated with dots and floral enamel.
Bought in auction last Tuesday....
But who made them?
Crystalex?
I have been finding a number of similarly decorated items and still have no idea of how many glass houses may be responsible.....
It does cramp the research so......

Crystalex as a state enterprise was created in 1945.Your glasses look older,so I think they must be made before WWII.Perhaps in one of many manufactures around Novy Bor.Crystalex itself gathered over 50 producers.
Could they be by Egermann?
Thankyou Ivonne - That helps.
Slowly, I grow in understanding....
Crystalex, as a state enterprise only existed post-1974. Prior to that date, Uzitkové Sklo using brand names Borské Sklo and Borocrystal, from around 1947, following Benes's nationalisations from the Decree of 1946.
Pardon, Ivonne
What I 've written was taken from Crystalex site http://www.crystalex.cz/en/section/91-upturn.html
Sorry if the information was wrong :(
Ok, Ivonne, you and I know well, that under the Communist government, things were not simple.

I've just refreshed memories by reading "Tankovy prapor"by Josef Skvorecki ,published in Canada in 1971.Nothing was simple or natural.
Kundera and Skvorecki, two of my favourite authors. Life for both authors, was not simple or natural, separated from their roots. But 1968, was a turning point. The Russian Communists did much harm. Gottwald and Husak were Moscow puppets, just like W?adys?aw Gomu?ka and General Jaruzelski in Poland.
Hapily, they've gone and we are still alive and can read good books :-)
I must confess I love Czech literature and films more than any other.
Trnka?? Krokodil?? Posters by Zdenek Zeigler?? Hrabal?? :) :)
Talking my kind of language.......
And the Bienniale in Brno, with fabulous graphic design.

Univerzita,of course
Of course, piége de ceské jazyk :)
Just a pity, that there isn't a CW forum set-up, with chat etc, but it is so much work.
