This is a very nice carved bone pendant with a decorated silver bail. It's depicting a little child riding on a snail. In my opinion it's not as old as the greyhound carving on the brooch photo 3, i already showed here on CW. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/110476-hand-carved-into-a-gorgeous-scene-with-a

Hi Agram. This is lovely and I think you're right, it's later than the greyhound, or at least in a very different style.
I think it's circa 1910, German, very much in that jugendstil putti style that was popular. I love the putti riding the snail. Very classic.
