I love these vases for their frilly tops, their ribbed ball feet and the fact that the glass is translucent....my first translucent Welz pieces. They have the same ribs and lines of small raised dots as the third vase in picture four. Their feet are amber in colour and grooved.
I wouldn't have the pleasure of owning these vases but for Karen, a wonderful friend. Thank you so much:-)
I've moved my photgraphy efforts to the garage and hope soon to master the new location!
Height 17 cm./6.5 inches
Nice examples. Although they did do some shapes and décors in translucent glass, they are far less common than the opaque colored items they produced. I have a pair of these in clear glass with green feet. And nice pics.... :-)
Thanks, welzebub......I'm ever hopeful of finding something, anything, in the coral/lime green translucent décor you once posted.
wow!!!!!!
Aquamarine colour is it?Very pretty!
Thank you SEAN, I do like a wow, :-)
Ivonne, I hesitate to say yes or no as I'm not sure, myself, what colour 'aquamarine' actually is. On my screen the colour looks about right. I think you're right about 'pretty', thanks!
I meant the colour of a gemstone, like this one https://pl.glosbe.com/pl/en/akwamaryn
Yes, Ivonne, it does look the same colour as the gemstone......
sklo42, can you advise here, please??

Okay Peggy, I love seeing the Welz 'three-ball' vases, but yours have to be the coolest I have seen - I love the long necks, body color, and the green feet! Just wonderful!

@Michelle, thanks so much....I also think the translucence adds something.
@kivatinitz, thanks.....and I could do with the seeing the Caribbean every day as I live only a few miles from the wettest valley in England!

Rick, sorry this is so late, but thanks for your comment, and I feel the same. As you see, having three feet isn't easy....you tend to lean a little :-)
