This seems to be a rather unusual vase: I spent a considerable amount of time on line and have not found one like it. The vase is marked with what I believe reads Orrefors and has a four-digit number. It is very heavy for its size: 1.7 kg. Its shape is hexagonal outside and round inside. It has been gently loved for some time and therefore has a few scratches and a small chip, but I like it anyway and hope you might enjoy it too.
Thanks for looking:)
Definitely Orrefors. Where is the cutting? Just on the edges?
Thanks a lot, vetraio50. The chip is on the bottom, at the side. You can kind of see it on photo 2 and four at the bottom of the picture:) I like it anyway; I just turn it to the back LOL
Hi FREIHET .... I meant the ribbing .... it looks like it might have horizontal engraved lines inside?
wow!!!! what a fab score!!!!!
Thanks a lot, SEAN68:)
vetraio50, yes. That's what it seems to be:)
I was going to add: It looks really unusual.
Close ?

Eye4beauty, Thanks so much for your link! I think mine is close to the one in the link. My vase has closer ribbings and seems to be higher. I didn't measure it but I think must be around 6 inches high. Unfortunately, my vase is in worse shape:(
You are very welcome. I guess it is just my nature to think that after you looked forever, I could somehow find it ... Lol ... I am sure you covered all bases ... What is the number on the base ?
Thanks again for finding something close. I guess I am not very good at searching the Internet!
The number on the bottom looks to me like 1852. I am fairly certain about 18; I am not sure about the third number. It could be also a three or another 8. The last number looks like a two.
Many thanks, mikelv85 and racer4four:)
Thanks a lot, Radegunder:)
Thank you, Trey:)
Many thanks, kyratango, kivatinitz, and Mac63:)
Thanks a lot, swfinluv1:)
