Hello! I would very much appreciate any assistance I can receive in regards to identifying my clock. It has been in the family for how long I do not know. It just came into my posession and I am hoping to get it fixed and to display it in my home. I've never seen it running. Upon receiving it I started searching the internet on every site I could find and a picture of my clock has never been found. It has the Waterbury 1870's information sheet on the inside of the back of the case. The body is 9 1/4" wide. The width of the body is 3 3/4". The overall height is 14 5/8". The base is 10 7/8" X 4 1/2". Any help would be soooo greatly appreciated!
    Sincerely,
    Tom Kuhn

Looks like you may have an "Octagon Top" from circa 1867 with an Alarm movement. If you post the case dimensions that could be helpful.

Bruce99 I posted dimensions with my original post. If those dimensions are not what you need I will need details as to what are case dimensions. I will do whatever I can to allow an identification of my clock! Thanks!

Hello Tom. Please clarify, when you say the width of the body is 3 3/4" did you mean to say "depth"?

When you say overall height 14 5/8", does that include the base? From your description it sounds like it would but I just want to make certain.

If the clock is 14 5/8" tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the case, I have no matches in my reference. You might want to do as slackjack suggested.

The closest I see in my reference is the model I gave you earlier which would be the "Octagon Top" but it's only listed at 13 1/2" tall. Seems yours may be at least a good inch taller.

      Good luck with it.

Hi Bruce, thanks again. Yes, the 3 3/4" is the depth. Yes the 14 5/8" is the total height that includes the base.
Do you have a picture of the one you refer to as "Octagon Top" that you can send me?
      Regardless thanks again!

      Hi Tom,

My reference material is has a copy right restriction. Just as well as the measurements don't match so it can't be your clock. Follow slackjack's advice. They have more flexibility there and perhaps one of the collectors there has seen your specific model.
