This is my late grandfathers Accordion he used to play for us as kids he only played by ear never read music, I would love to play it myself but never seem to have spare time or know anyone who could teach me, I guess I will have to learn by ear as well. Not sure how old it is he would have acquired it between 1940 and 1970
I have onwned several accordions during the sixties and seventies and yours looks a lot older to me:)
Check out this one: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/218953282/completely-rebuilt-german-made-hohner?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_ca_en_ca_high-books_movies_and_music-music-musical_instruments&utm_custom1=399d1f7c-66e4-49e5-845a-9e7886904d93&kpid=218953282enca
Sorry about the spelling:(
Thanks Freiheit I had no idea it was worth that much but as it is sentimental price doesn't matter. Although my one looks to be tidier that's all thanks to Grandad it was his favourite of the 2 he owned. No worries about spelling ;)
Were these made in Spain? I noticed the Marca Registrada. Love hearing the accordion. :)
Hi Katherine, as far as I know Hohner is a German brand they made mouth organs as well. What is the Marca Registrada?
Literally translated means, Registered Mark. Similar or same to trademark or copyright, I would guess.
Thanks now I think your right maybe it is Spanish I'll have to google search cheers need a break from plumbing
