I don’t think that this necklace is old at all. It is in perfect shape and feels great to the touch. The tiny silver beads are strung on silk strings. It is marked with 925 and a rising sun. I have found similar ones on line but so far I didn’t discover what the symbol of the rising sun stands for/who the maker is. There is a possibility that it could be Native American - but it also could be a fake.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's beautiful. It's called liquid silver and I believe it may be newer. I have one that's older with that symbol on it too, without the 925. I believe I posted mine here. I'll take a look and link it.
I must have removed it for some reason. The more strands these have, the more they cost. The Navajo did not have the beads on theirs that I know of. The one I have does have the same small beads but only one at a time which is why I think yours may be newer. Someone in the tribe carrying on the tradition with a bit of newer flare. I would love to know the symbol also. Hopefully someone here does.

I love these necklaces, if I'm not mistaken, they were popular back in the 70s? Someone here will know, maybe Canyon Road? It's an absolute beauty, freiheit!
Shareurpassion and katherinescollection, thanks so much for your comments. I also believe that mine is newer. When I got it, there was also one that had less strands and was shorter. I didn't buy it because I liked this one better. The smaller one looked older, though. I will keep trying to find out who made it!
