1950's Jeweley

Hi,
My mother gave me this jewelry about 5 years ago. She just handed it to me and since there was other family members present I did not ask her any questions. I put the box up and since that time my mom has passed. I ran across the box the other day and wondered about it. I think the ear rings and necklace were given to her by may dad when their first son was born. (It is his birthsotone). I have no idea about the other ear rings. I think she received them all before 1960. The necklace and ear rings with the blue stones were probably around 1953 or 1954. The box they are is says Regel on it, but I am not sure if it in fact belongs with the jewelry. They lived in South Dakota at the time. Any information is greatly appreciated.
