Well I finally managed to identify the mark on this. Yay! Handmade by Gibraltar Crystal, relatively recently (they started in 1995). Took a wee while to find the mark which is castle with a key below stamped into the base. Lovely colour and looks good with the light shining through it.

      It's a beauty Hamish.
I had not heard of Gibraltar Crystal before so had a look - great work, and prolific!
It just shows that there are so many glassmakers out there and always more to learn.
      Nice they stamped it :)

Amazing what you can find for next to nothing in a charity shop. I was curious about the mark so it was good to buy just as a learning experience. They do some nice stuff. Nice to identify a maker too, that's what's frustrating about my other one on here! Thanks for the comments.

Well done with the mark, and the vase is very beautiful.

Thanks Gillian. It is rather snazzy (do Americans say 'zazzy'? I'm not sure, seem to recall it from an episode of The big bang theory with the cats!)
