I think this was from the 1904 Worlds fair in St. Louis Missouri. My grandmothers parents would have gone to the 1904 Worlds Fair. The only marks of any lettering is the patented mark on the bottom of the base. There looks to be gold paint underneath in the inside of the base. It looks to be cast iron or another metal. Has an old patina finish. It has some interesting detail. I would like to know if it was originally a statue converted to a lamp or if it was a souvenir piece from the St.Louis Worlds Fair in 1904.
