I am trying to locate another, similar shade, as this one was destroyed. The shade is a cut-corner square (well, actually it was 5-sided) shade and used to sit on a floor lamp. The artwork looks very much like the works of Rie Pluim, although it is possible that it is a copy of his work. My (late) wife purchased it many years ago, so I no longer remember where she obtained it. Can anyone help further identify this item?
Subjects are views of Paris, Sacré Coeur de Montmartre, Opéra Garnier, place de la Concorde.
Can't say anything more, except it is beautifuly made :-)
Yes, I agree with the locations as you stated. Thank you for confirming the sites of the scenes.
I have a similar one. Please let me know If you find out anything.
Thanks Jamie
I have this lamp shade along with the floor lamp. I've been trying to figure when it was made, is it vintage, worth something, etc. I picked it up at a auction house roughly 5 years ago.
