I've had this a long while but have never found any thing similar in terms of spatter. I used to think of it as a 'complicated' spatter as it is so 'bitty'. After reading a post by rucklczglass I now think it may have two layers of spatter together between two clear layers. This can most easily be seen at the rim.

Pic. four, bowl turned downwards towards you, outside at same spot.
This isn't to say that I know the maker, I merely know a little more about spatter glass. Incidentally it's a very well made item.
Height 10 cm./4 inches Diameter 11 cm./4.25 inches
And I think Japanese glass can be confusing and difficult to ID!
