    Purchased out of a Baltimore estate years ago, I have never seen another, Fraternal? Ivory handle fantastic carved detail, blade seems to be mid 1800 or before. Sorry I can not get the front and blade picture uploaded in this format about 8 inches long. What is it ?

      The inscription is "Sempre e mai" in reverse. "Forever and ever". Possibly fraternity, but occult is also possible.

      Thanks I am thinking along those lines as well. I am hoping someone will recognize it. It is ceremonial in appearance, but usable as well. scabbard probably not original.
