Original post:
This clear vase is the smallest of a series or set of 3 called "Cascade" by Michael Bang for Holmegaard. It is 3" tall and about 3-1/4" wide. There are 4 holes or openings at the top. From what I have read it is Danish. It is signed. Dug hard at Salvation Army several weeks ago and paid 1 dollar. :) I really like it.
My info is me being new to glass but trying to give information that I have worked way to long (LOL) to find out about on the internet. I know the experts on here will correct my information and I welcome it.
$1 for any Holmegaard is a great price! Fortunately there is quite a bit of info on Jacob Bang online.
Welcome to CW and glass collecting. I hope you know you have now fallen in to the black hole of obsession!!
Ha-ha! Thank you racer4four. Love this site and am learning a lot on here.
This is a Hulvase which literally translates as Hole Vase and were produced in clear and green glass in the 1970's. The catalogue shows 4 sizes ranging from 7cm to 18cms tall.
Cascade is a totally different design from Holmegaard by Per Lütken.
Hope this info is useful as you start your new collection!
Thank you kiss.
I cannot find your information just yet but I really appreciate your information.
Thanks racer and kiss and sorry I took so long to change the info. Been busy hunting searching and finding. Getting back to my roots now. :)
