I recently found this at a flea market in Wisconsin. I thought at first it might be a bean pot, but now I am not so sure.
It is a round stoneware/clay lidded pot that is 5 inches tall with a 6 inch wide mouth, it holds 1.5 quarts .
Glazed brown on the inside, and half way down the side outside. Bottom half is un-glazed. There is a raised ridge a third of the way down the side around the circumference of the pot.
The bottom is slightly rounded with 3 wedged shaped feet along the outer edge before the bottom concave's a bit upward between the feet. it looks like it may have been used in coals or on s stove as the bottom looks a little burned.
I vote "bean pot".
