Well here is the latest find for my collection. Was wandering around a sale last week whilst away and this was sitting on a stall. Very nice deep blue/green glass with impressive decoration. I have no idea as to date or origin, all I know is that it was sitting next to an Italian Murano vase (it was labelled) and they were owned by the same person. Decorated with gold and copper coloured detailing and one interesting design feature is that on four places equally spaced out around the vase, the glass has been pulled upwards towards the rim to create a nice effect, and this has left indentations where the glass has been stretched (see second picture). No marks anywhere I can see. Any thoughts would be greatly received. But its a nice thing.

I'm pretty sure that this is also Murano, possibly from the Aventurine line. That beautiful golden glow is created by copper. I have two Black Amethyst and copper Murano vases. Doesn't Murano make some great stuff!

These pieces are marketed in the US under the name "Dale Tiffany", and have nothing to do with Tiffany glass. The production is Chinese in origins.

I agree with Welzbub........... NOT Murano, but the other. ( Dale Tiffany). See this one on Ebay"

~ ~ Just like you have to watch out for Pieces made by Novica -- as they *look* Murano-ish, BUT are not. They are made "in the style of" and not MADE ON THE ISLAND OF MURANO. True Murano is.

Here is a Novica site that could *fool* some people too. Its pretty glass - Just NOT Murano Glass. ++ Once a label is gone, it might fool some people ++
