I got this given to me, I love Coca Cola stuff. I was wondering if it was worth restoring, or should I just enjoy it the way it is. Does anybody know what kind of cooler it is? It looks like a cheap one since it does not have the white lettering. I also don't have any doors for it. I don't have it at my house yet, all I have is this picture. I was told it was pulled out of a creek (small river).
Thanks in advance if someone could tell me what I might have.
Might be a Westinghouse Standard Cooler, if you can restore it yourself, I would but if you have to take it to a restoration shop it probably would cost more than its worth but it would be beautifull redone and you could use it!
You can do it yourself, a shaker can of Tremclad fire engine red, some correct sized decals, and a new arborite or granite top, and away you go!!
I got the cooler home, and I was wrong, it does have the raised letters.
This is a 1939 Coca Cola salesman's sample. It is missing the double flip top lid one side of the lid has rings and if you are really lucky the salesman's cards are still in the clips. I saw one in pristine condition with cards on ebay they are trying to get $6,500.00
Sorry, did not ask the size, mine is not quite as tall as a paper towel roll.
Welcome yo CW!!!
