As Welz translucent glass is less common I thought I'd post this. I'd guess welzebub has an image of this but it just didn't make the cut!
This one is interesting because it's the only one I have where you can see the construction. The tri-lobed heart was made in a three part mould. You can see the lines left by the moulding process as there's only one layer of glass. On the other hand the pedestal, which is hollow, does have a clear outer casing.

Hi,Peggy.I've been absent on CW for a while and I've just watched all the beautiful pieces you've shared.I love them all but this one is extraordinary.I'm drying raspberries right now and their smell seems to flow from your picture not from my kitchen .
Hi Ivonne, I had noticed your absence, nice to hear from you again. Serendipity! .... it is raspberry coloured. Lucky you, raspberries long gone here!
Thank you for ALL the loves, Ivonne, they're much appreciated :-)
Beautiful!!
Welz made some amazing glass!

I added it to the mix of my images, as I was leaving the house when I did the post and failed to notice although there was a red ground example in the mix, the applied rigaree was different. I put it in the image with the other red ground example so the difference in rigaree can be seen easily. An example like yous in green is also known to have been produced. There is an image of that one on my website.
I'd have to agree, scott.....I need more shelves!!
I wasn't whingeing when I said it probably didn't make the cut :-) I'm hoping to find green Welz.
No collector lets the lack of storage space slow down the acquisitions!

I know, scott.....:-)
I knew you were not doing that Peggy... :-) I added it because I think the variations in rigaree are useful to see.
So pretty - the bright red seems to just glow! :)
I'm glad of that ,Craig, and of course the atypical one is more interesting.
Yes, Michelle, it's a pretty red and the translucence helps.

A Welz lollipop, she said, not meaning to disparage.
Stunning Piece !!! Wow Factor !!
A Welz lolly is fine by me, Karen, I doubt you have a disparaging bone in your body!
It's melting too :-)
Thanks, antiquerose, lovely comment!

Hi Peggy. This is Beautiful. Is it red or cranberry? I saw a cranberry one once in an antique mall but it was a bit pricey & not as nice a condition as yours here.
Hi Fran, It's darker than cranberry..... so red, but a cranberry glass type of red. I don't own any cranberry glass so you see why I'm strugglimg.
Lol, no worries, i could probably tell if I saw it in real life. It looks darker in the photos than the cranberry ones I've seen. It's a beauty and maybe rarer being red :)
How tall is it, by the way ???
Sorry vetraio, an oversight on my part. I've added the height and further details at the top.
