Not only are these hard to find, beautiful, fine quality, (yes, that's REAL 24k gold) the fact that they contained controlled substances give them added value.
Ive seen a few pop up on ebay and selling in the hundreds that said cocaine and heroin, but for me, the opium is the most beautiful with its faux Chinese character as its pharmacy pictogram.
The light blue glow of fine bone china really makes you wonder who's pharmacy these belonged to.
The FLLF marking=Faince Limoges Limousine France?
I have 2 of these jars one is for heroin and the other is for marajuana. The 3 jars must have been a set at one time. My aunt was an antique dealer and I came across them in her collection. Unfortunately I don' know much about them.
hi Camille! there is also one for cocaine. Would you want to sell those?
I will be selling these jars eventually. What would you offer for them. They are in perfect condition.
perhaps you would contact me privately via email? vtgbelts@gmail.com.

This world never ceases to amaze me?
I grew up with these in my den. I couldn't believe my parents would have something like this for decoration. I WISH we still had them but we don't...
I doubt whether these jars actually ever contained controlled substances. My parents had bought a set of these beautiful apothecary jars at a furniture store as accessories in the Los Angeles area ca late 1950's or early 1960's. They were purely for decoration. I don't know for certain but I believe the set had numbered about 5 or so. I recall they specifically included Heroin, Opium, Marijuana, and Cocaine. There may have been another labelled Arsenic but I cannot say for certain. Unfortunately, they have been lost to time.
