I have found that art glass oil lamp chimneys are rather hard to find. This is the first of this type that Ive seen. Its has a nice caramel, marigold iridescence over moonstone and is in the form of a pillar of fire. The chimney seems to fit a No. 1 burner and measures approx. 10 1/4 inches tall.
Can anyone tell me anything further about it? Makers, rarity, etc?
Update:
This piece was pictured in Hartung book 8 on carnival glass. This was 1968 and she holds the same opinion concerning the fact that its not really in the carnival glass category but perhaps in the Art Glass lamp chimney category.

Just wanted to say, just finished reading your articles about your lovely collection of sugar shakers. I'd never given them much thought - thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Very enjoyable and very nice glass which I didn't expect at all. I'm sorry though I know absolutely nada about oil lamps.
Salt and Sugar Shakers from the Victorian Era can make quite an impressive display. You also don't really realize how many there are until you start collecting them!

Found it...Loetz tree trunk glass chimney. Liveauctioneers, lot#59 Oct.15,2005. Listed as Rare Loetz Glass Oil Lamp with original tree trunk glass chimney.
