The only marking we could find on the sofa was “Made In Italy” stamped on the frame. When we took possession of the sofa from my wife's father it had been in his dry cleaning plant, upstairs in a storage area, for many years. The upholstery was gold colored with a pattern woven into in it (damask)?) but it was in tatters; the stuffing was horse hair. We have no way of knowing the age or provenance, but we think it might be from the early 1900’s. The fabric is now white with the wreath/bee pattern woven into it (damask?).
The sofa measurements are 55” wide x 32” deep x 35-1/2” high. The seat height is 19” and the seat depth is 21”
Any information about our sofa that you can share is appreciated.
