    Anyone know what kind of a chair this is?
    I picked it up from a flea market but I'm planning on painting it and wanted to see what kind of history is behind this piece.

      I can tell you it looks like white oak(been making a few things with it recently) the grain patterns make that back look like it came from an enormous tree(its one piece/one section of the tree. Maybe near the stump?). Aside from what it is made from, I can't tell you any more than 'happy sitting'!
