Hi my name is Mark, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this piece that I discovered. After finally getting the nerve to go through all of my mother's belongings(she passed away suddenly 2 years ago, after a surgery that went wrong and we lost her at the age of 50)
But what I was wondering if anyone would have any information pertaining to this bracelet. If you would be able to tell me about it a little. It is approx 7" long and 1 1/4" wide it weighs 1.297 ozt (troy ounces) on the clasp there is a there is a marking (vcc mexico) and on the other side it has a stamp that looks like an eagle with the number 2 on its chest.
If you could possibly give me any information about either of these pieces I would greatly appreciate it I've been searching the Internet for am item similar to this for about two weeks now and can't find anything like it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's nice to wear a piece of jewelry that has been worn by a person special to you. What a wonderful vintage mexican silver bracelet you have after your mother! The eagle mark was to certify that the piece was made of atleast 925 silver purity, it could also be higher. The eagelmark was used in 1948-1978 or even 1980 according to what I have read. The number would tell you where it was made and in a few cases who made it. It's very tricky to investigate mexican silvermarks. You can read more by searching on line for "the little bok of mexican trade....". You can search in the book on line. Search for example 'eagel number 2'. There is some good information there. You can also search the makers mark vcc. Also look here under fine jewellry at mexican jewelry. I have shared a small collection of my own.
From the style I would say your bracelet was made around 1950's. The Black is a tecnique called niello. Be sure not to polish your bracelet too much, the patina is lovely!
