Yesterday I struck gold - literally. Snooping around in second hand shops is one of the things I do best. I will be doing this in the Afterlife, too.
The first shop netted me a very nice open loop sterling silver chain ($1.60) but the second shop served up:
14K gold, 7" long (3.1 gr) dolphin bracelet for $1.05
6 sterling silver rings (three of which are here) for $1.05
$2.10 left my coin purse.
Bah hahahahaha!!!
I think I'm going to pack my bags and spend a few days with you in the Netherlands. Nice fines, by the way.
I was just saying to Billy? in Hawaii, that I think you, him and some others here, are leading charmed lives. 14K gold bracelet for $1.05. Very nice indeed.
14K gold rates a little more than very nice. Beautiful bracelet.
C'mon over, Peasejean55! Gillian, I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. The people who work in these second hand shops wouldn't recognize silver or gold unless it bit them in their big toe. I figure if they don't know what they are selling then it is not my place to enlighten them. Same goes for those at flea markets who have sold me 14K gold/diamond brooches for a few bucks. :-)
I can smell the stuff at 100 paces.
The scrap value for this bracelet is a bit more than $50.00.
I'm going green Bonnie.......
You always seem to be in the right place! Lucky girl lol.
LOL racer & Rick! Gillian, I just happen to be at the right place at the right time. I have days where one voice in my head says'"Awww, stay home today" and the other voice yells at me, "Get in the car and GO LOOK!" The loudest voice usually wins.
:-D Thanks, All!
